HOW TO ADD NEW ALBUMS
IN 4 EASY STEPS
OPEN YOUR PAGES DASHBOARD
From your Squarespace homepage you will see options for PAGES, DESIGN, COMMERCE and more. Select Pages to bring you to this page.
2: SELECT “CURRENT GALLERY ALBUM”
from the left side bar. This will take you to this page where you will add all of the albums you want to include. The “sun” icon is for the album settings… make sure that the page is not enabled (so it is private).
The “+” allows you to add new albums.
Click on that.
3. ADD AN ALBUM
After selecting the “+” to add a new image, you this box will come up.
You want to:
Add an image in the Image Editor
Include a Title with the work type (because this is the only information that shows in the hover).
Add album details in the description. This is hidden on the website but is still attached to the image and can be viewed if someone were to select the image by itself.
Add tags (optional, but i like to include your name and studio name)
Add categories. Right now there are two options and it’s best to do this with all of the albums so we can create a filter in the future.
Change image URL This is optional but favorable. I just cut and paste the first two lines of the description (artist&album) and paste it under the “Options” tab.
